You’ve put a lot of work into choosing a great location for your building and getting it LEED certified — why not show it off?
Now, you’ll have the option to add up to two badges to your screen, right under your property’s logo, to proudly display your building’s LEED certification, Walk Score, or Energy Star certification.
Everyone is already coming to your TransitScreen for information about live transit departures and, increasingly, messages about what’s currently happening in your community. With this upgrade, you can also remind visitors and tenants about your sustainability efforts around the building itself, and help remind them to consider taking more sustainable actions.
We’ve launched with three badging options that highlight different aspects of building sustainability.
LEED certification, a program of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the most widely used third-party verification for green buildings. Around 1.85 million square feet of space are certified daily. Badging supports all four levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Walk Score, a product of Redfin, quantifies how easy it is to get places on foot from your address — something potential renters and homeowners alike take into consideration when searching for a place to live or work. If your building is a “Walker’s Paradise” where you don’t have to use a car for simple errands, people should know!
Energy Star for buildings, a program of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), benchmarks and measures the energy performance of buildings on an annual basis.
