The time has come — we’re excited to announce our move to a permanent home at Gould Property Company’s 1725 Desales Street.
We began in cofounder and CEO Matt Caywood’s office in Northwest DC, then switched to using floating desks at 1776’s downtown campus. As we grew in size, we took over one office at 1776, then two, and finally three — signaling the need for a place to call our own.
“Washington, DC, has always been TransitScreen’s home,” said Caywood. “It has a booming technology startup scene and so many transit options. I can’t think of a better place for our new office.”
Gould Property Company was able to provide the support and flexibility needed in the post-incubator phase of the startup lifecycle.
“We have a holistic relationship to tenants,” said Charles Lancaster, director of innovation labs at Gould Property Company. “We are interested in helping tenants grow and expand from post-WeWork and post-1776 innovation labs all the way to large corporate headquarters and R&D Campus facilities at Konterra Town Center.”
Located between Dupont Circle and Farragut North, 1725 Desales is both Metro- and bus-accessible with multiple bikeshare stations nearby. The transit-accessible location was a must-have for us, since all our employees walk or take public transit to the office.
“We’re excited to have our own space,” said Caywood. “It’s a milestone for us, and it will give us the room to keep growing.”
